Spring Weekend Course Newsletter.

Once again, can I thank all the Students who gave up their time and the weekend to participate in our twice-yearly get together.
Without you, we wouldn't have a course at all!

Many thanks to all the Hull Budo Kai Instructors for all their help in making the weekend possible. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes in preparation for such an event.

Luckily the weather was on our side, for a change, and we enjoyed a lovely spring couple of days (in between the odd shower).

Thanks to Roy and his caretaker at Newport Karate Club for making us all feel welcome.

We all hope that you enjoyed the weekend course; hopefully some of you will have picked up one or two techniques that you have not seen before.
Some of you will have seen nothing new!

Now is the time to put this right!!

Your Club instructor will have a Weekend Course feedback letter.
This is your opportunity to tell us about your likes and dislikes about the course and what you would like to see included or excluded. So please take the time to air your views.

The summer course will be held at Newport Karate Club on the weekend commencing September 27th and 28th.

Further details will be available nearer the time for the course content.

Please make every effort to attend these courses as they go towards your future grading allowances.

Hull Budo Kai club badges are available from your club instructor at a cost of £2.50 each.

Congratulations to Sensei Steve Barrass on attaining his 5th Dan Black Belt in Karate, this award is in recognition of services to the club. His friends and colleagues awarded this honor to him.

We hope to have some video footage on the events of the weekend course as soon as it is available. (Thanks to Mike Sanderson for recording the days events).

Saturday night's demonstration was a huge success, everyone who took part demonstrated a high level of skill in their field.
Highly skilled individuals treated friends and families to an exhibition of martial arts.
Many students will not have seen their instructors perform an exhibition routine.
The aim of the demonstration was to make students aware of the commitment to training and levels of skill achieved by their sensei.

I think this was achieved.

Forthcoming events for the karate club calendar.
